Your first NEAR wallet
A wallet is your account on NEAR. It holds your NEAR and your Venears, and it is how you approve anything on this site. Setting one up takes about five minutes.
Six steps from zero to holding
- 01Pick a wallet and create your account
Install one from the list below and follow its setup. You will choose an account name such as yourname.near, or get a long automatic one. Both work here.
- 02Write down the recovery phrase
The wallet shows you 12 words. Write them on paper and keep them private. They are the only way back into the account, and anyone who has them owns it.
- 03Put NEAR in the wallet
Buy NEAR on an exchange such as Binance, Coinbase, OKX, Bybit, Kraken or KuCoin. Withdraw it to your account name and choose the NEAR network. It arrives in about a minute.
- 04Connect on this site
Press Connect wallet at the top of any page and choose your wallet. Connecting only shares your account name. It cannot move anything.
- 05Mint
On the mint page choose how many, press Mint and approve the transaction your wallet shows. One approval mints all of them. The payment goes out and the Venears arrive in the same transaction.
- 06See them and trade them
Your Venears appear in My vault here and in your wallet's collectibles tab. From the vault you can list, accept offers or send them to another account.
Wallets that work here
loadingAll of these connect to the mint and the exchange. If one is already installed in this browser it is listed first when you press Connect.
New wallets are added to the list automatically as they launch on NEAR. Not sure which one? On a computer start with Meteor. On a phone start with HOT.
Account names on NEAR
yourname.near
Readable and easy to share. Most wallets let you pick one when you sign up. Names ending in .tg come from Telegram wallets.

64 letters and numbers, created instantly with no name to choose. It works exactly the same. Copy and paste it, never type it by hand.
Stay safe
- Nobody from Venears will ever ask for your recovery phrase or private key. Anyone who does is stealing.
- Check the address bar before you connect. Bookmark the real site and use the bookmark.
- Read the amount in the wallet prompt every time. Reject anything you did not start yourself.
- Keep most of your NEAR in one account and mint from another if you hold a lot.
Questions
The mint price for each Venear plus a little for network fees. Keep about 0.1 NEAR spare. Fees on NEAR are a fraction of a cent, but every account keeps a small balance to hold its data.
It shows the contract being called, the action and the exact NEAR amount leaving your wallet. If the amount is not what you expect, reject it. Nothing moves without your approval.
No. One approval mints the full quantity you chose, up to twenty in a single transaction.
Straight to the Venears treasury, inside the mint transaction. The token is written to your account in that same transaction, so there is never a gap where you have paid and hold nothing.
No. A listing is a signature, not a transaction, so there is no fee. Changing the price and cancelling are free too. The very first time you list, your wallet asks for one extra approval that switches trading on for your account.
No. It stays with you until someone buys it. When it sells, the Venear goes to the buyer and the NEAR comes to you in the same transaction.
You keep a bidding balance in the exchange contract under your own name. It backs every offer you sign, offers themselves are free signatures, and you can withdraw the balance whenever you like. It is only spent when a holder accepts one of your offers.
Open My vault on this site first: it reads the chain directly. Wallet apps can take a few minutes to show a new collection, and the artwork stays sealed until the reveal.
Yes. HOT, Meteor, NEAR Mobile and OKX all work on phones. Open this site in the wallet's built-in browser, or scan the code shown when you connect from a computer.
